Overview

Performance Measurement & Business Analysis (PMBA) is responsible for aligning enterprise-wide metrics, analysis, reporting and performance measurement tools to drive AARP's strategic and operating performance. PMBA includes a Business Optimization team that provides consulting and advisory services to projects and initiatives where there is an enterprise-wide impact, unknown root cause and/or complex stakeholder interactions.

The Enterprise Performance Measurement team is looking for you! Our team is dedicated to enhancing forecasting capabilities across various departments to improve decision-making and drive organizational success. We'll challenge you to collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn about forecasting methodologies, and contribute to the implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of Spring or Summer 2024, with the possibility of extending additional semesters.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand forecasting needs and requirements across different business units
  • Support the implementation of forecasting technology, including data migration, configuration, testing, and training
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users during the implementation phase
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing activities related to forecasting technology implementation

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Data Analytics
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or postdoctoral students and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship, or must have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program
  • Strong interest in forecasting methodologies and technology solutions
  • Tableau, Excel, and/or cloud-based planning solutions skills preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations, including gender, race, and sexual orientation
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly range is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, and $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
