Job Description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Senior ASW Cloud Engineerwith expertise in ETL and database architecture to support our customer's security mission in Washington DC.

As a Senior ASW Cloud Engineer, you will:

A Day in the Life of a Senior ASW Cloud Engineer:

  • Architect, design, develop, and implement cloud solutions on AWS platforms.
  • Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization.
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to developer teams to build their cloud competencies.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design.
Job Requirements
  • Mustbe a U.S. Citizen
  • CBP BI or SSBI (Top Secret clearance)or DHS ClearanceREQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years' experience (or High School and 16+ years' experience).
  • Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework.
  • Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts.
  • Must have practical experience and project management knowledge necessary to manage large and complex program requirements and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint are required.
