Data & Analytics leverages business intelligence gained through advanced data analytics in order to maximize AARP's marketing and communications results. This includes using data science, data engineering, predictive modeling, and market analytics to guide data driven decision making.

Are you a creative, passionate, and results-driven student interested in marketing and analytics? The Data and Analytics Group is looking for you! Our team works with campaign and customer data to identify the best audience for AARP's programs and marketing communications. We'll challenge you to think and work innovatively on real-world projects that impact Americans aged 50 and older. Our ideal candidate is interested in marketing analytics, is detail-oriented, and has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They should be comfortable working with data, collaborating with various teams, and communicating marketing insights into actionable recommendations. Responsibilities

  • Analyzing marketing campaign results from social impact and fundraising programs
  • Assisting the team with test design and audience recommendations
  • Developing and documenting processes to automate reports and model validation
  • Conducting other ad hoc analyses related to social impact and fundraising
  • Assisting the team with various data visualization and reporting projects

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college/university rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post-doctoral students and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship or must have previously graduated from college and enrolled in a continuing education program
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate project needs, and discern work priorities
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience/knowledge of direct marketing or campaign management is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization, reporting, and Tableau is a plus
  • Experience with data analysis using Excel, Access, SQL, Python, or SAS is a plus

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly range is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, and $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
