We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Professional Service Technician in the Baltimore, MD area!

The role of the Professional Services Technician - Level I, is to provide service and support of Avidity Science products, both preventatively and on an emergency basis, in accordance with Avidity Science specifications and quality standards along with the customers' requirements and installation of Avidity Science products/systems in accordance with Avidity Science specifications and quality standards. While each individual Professional Services Technician I will typically specialize in either service or installation, all will have the opportunity and ability to participate in both specialty areas.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Service Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all Avidity Science products according to specifications and predetermined schedule.
  • Provide warranty service and support on all Avidity Science products according to specifications.
  • Provide emergency service and support on all Avidity Science products according to specifications.
  • Review system installations and begin system commissioning.

Common Responsibilities:

  • Prepare appropriate reports.
  • Complete product certification for all Avidity Science products.
  • Maintain accuracy of van stock.
  • Adhere to Avidity Science procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Install Responsibilities:

  • Install systems to the specification of customer drawings.
  • Interpret drawings and instructions.
  • Update as-built details on drawings at completion of installation and submit into office in a timely manner.
  • Supervise contractors as required during the installation of Avidity Science systems to ensure installation schedule compliance and cost containment.
  • Provide initial system training to the customer.
  • Update Installation Coordinator and Project Managers on job status on daily basis.

Qualifications:

An Associate's degree or similar trade experience and a minimum of three years experience in servicing, troubleshooting and supporting electrical or electro-mechanical systems at external customer facilities. Ideal candidates will have mechanical, plumbing, and electrical skills. Knowledge of RO machines are considered a plus.

This position requires 90% travel to service and install equipment at customer facilities. Applicants must live within 30 miles of Baltimore, MD.
