Job Description

We are seeking a full-time, day shift experienced nurse with an interest in cardio-pulmonary medicine to join our team on the Acute Pulmonary Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital's Heart and Vascular Institute. Our patient population consists of complex pulmonary diagnoses and patients needing pulmonary interventions such as Endobronchial valves, VATS procedures, Bronchoscopy's as well as CHF, Dysrhythmia, and anti-rhythmic loading.

Shift: 3 X 12hr Day Shifts

Requirements: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting

Minimum Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required and ACLS strongly preferred (must obtain within first 3 months)

Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
