As the Legislative Research Intern, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing legislation. You will work closely with the Product team and other internal stakeholders to build products related to legislative research and analysis.

This role is an excellent opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the legislative process, how government affairs teams seek to influence the legislative process, and how to build and deliver new software products to market.

What You'll Do

  • First Week: You will start by getting up to speed on how to use the Quorum product to review legislative information.
  • First Three Months: You will work with the product team to build products related to legislative research and analysis.

About You

  • Required: Master's degree or current enrollment in a master's degree program or law degree program (public policy, public administration, political science, law or related area of study).
  • You have strong research, critical thinking, writing and verbal skills.
  • You are knowledgeable on the US legislative process and government affairs.
  • You're a highly-motivated and meticulous self-starter who wants to make valuable contributions to a team from day one.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • You are comfortable reading legislative text and summarizing how bills will impact current law.

Our Work Environment

  • We are a hybrid team with flexible work options: work remotely or choose to come into our vibrant, sunlit space in our modern, open concept office in Washington DC.
  • Our office building is located in the heart of downtown DC, easily accessible by metro, bus and rideshares. It is also in close proximity to great restaurants, food trucks, shopping, and popular happy hour spots.
