Job Description Summary

Supports the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources team in the areas of employee relations and administrative support.

Salary Range: $18 to $25, depending on level of skills and experience.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Gain an understanding of the vision, mission and strategic objectives of our People Operations function and the business units that we support.
  • Assist with special projects related to employee engagement, onboarding, and HR metrics.
  • Work with the HR team to research best practices, develop possible new approaches, and create tools and templates.
  • Perform audit of HR files and records.
  • Assist in creating materials and/or presentations for meetings.
  • Share creative ideas that help improve our efficiency.
  • Maintaining human resources files, records, and documentation in SharePoint.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TALENTS:

  • Working toward a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and self-starter.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using HR Technology is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate must be available to work for temporary periods at other locations. The associate will be required to work extended periods of time at a computer terminal. The associate is exposed to minimal to moderate noise.

Travel Required:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate must be available to work for temporary periods at our Baltimore, Columbia, and Silver Spring, Maryland locations.
