About the Position

Dexis Professional Services seeks to expand its roster of experienced Global Health Project Managers to provide technical expertise and support services to missions worldwide for an anticipated award. As a Project Manager, you will be a full-time employee working as part of a team to manage technical advisors and oversee operations for global health assignments. Interested applicants with a background in supporting Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge and manage all administrative and operational functions, including contracting, finance, cost performance, recruitment, and other corporate oversight functions, in close coordination with project leadership and Dexis corporate units.
  • Recruit technical experts for global health assignments. Serve as recruiting manager for their assignments.
  • Draft cost estimates, track expenditures, and carefully monitor assignment-level budgets.
  • Assist in the training/orientation of project management unit (PMU) on operations, procedures, and tools.
  • Responsible for all logistical support for personnel in the United States and overseas.
  • Coordinate and track project activities through planning, implementation, and reporting phases, identifying issues, and developing solutions.
  • Work with the project/contract team in scenario and resource planning.
  • Work with project technical leads to oversee personnel and management of tasks, ensure timely project deliverables, assess contractual performance, and adjudicate any issues.
  • Work with other Dexis support units (e.g., contracts, recruitment, security) to formulate ideas for process improvements.
  • Advise and adhere to Dexis policies and procedures, and all relevant USG regulations.
  • Establish a productive, positive working relationship with clients, partners, and project teams. Facilitate smooth workflow by maintaining regular communication with project employees, clients, and consultants to ensure that clients and consultants are supported throughout their assignments.
  • Manage field operations, including but not limited to in-country office registration, administration, logistics, procurement, budgeting, financials, and property management.
  • Ensure field office operations compliance with donor regulations, local laws, and contractor procedures.
  • Coordinate logistics for onboarding field project office employees.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of project management-related work experience.
  • Knowledge of international public health and/or development fields.
  • Master's degree in international development, global health, program management, or related field.
  • Experience in successfully managing donor or USG-funded projects in a US headquarters environment.
  • Experience as primary client contact.
  • Well-organized, strong attention to detail, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Anticipates work requirements and solves problems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Team player, flexible, and proactive.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
  • Oral and written fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HHS, CDC, or USAID contracts is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in another language.
