This position will be based at NSA at Ft. Meade, MD and supports mission operations in support of one of the most dynamic and vital mission environments supporting our nation's critical assets. Candidates applying for this position must be motivated, creative, and able to work collaboratively across a wide spectrum of mission and technical personnel and technology and be able to work different shifts as required. Candidates applying to this program should have experience in military, intelligence, law enforcement, or other similar mission critical environments. Candidates should be trustworthy, dependable, and capable of functioning effectively in a high-tempo environment where the candidate is part of a larger, integrated team of multi-functional professionals focused on mission accomplishment.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day monitoring of a production Telos Automated Messaging Handling System (AMHS).
    • system processes and feeds
    • manage message queues
    • resolve routing problems, non-delivery problems, and problems with message or attachments.
  • Operate, administer, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues relating to outages or system operation.
  • Coordinate with the Government to assist and support testing of all system changes, enhancements and updates.
  • Perform upgrades to hardware and software in accordance with Program Office direction.
  • Perform end-user training and desk-side support to mission operations staff, executives, and other help desk staff.
  • Perform training for personnel who monitor the system after duty hours.
  • Update all System Operating Procedures and other documentation to reflect any changes to the system.
  • Assist with the evaluation of the systems against mitigating factors to determine the security posture of the systems.
  • Work and coordinate with other security personnel.
  • Document, track, monitor and follow up on problems/inquiries to ensure resolution in a timely manner.
  • Maintain certifications and continually learn about new technologies, techniques, and procedures to stay abreast of leading technologies and aligning with enterprise-level modernization efforts.
  • Coordinate with the Telos Development team to assist and identify system discrepancies and support the testing of all resultant updates.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or a related technical discipline with 10+ years' experience, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience in lieu of a degree (16 years).
  • 10+ years of IT experience required.
  • An active Top-Secret SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Clearance is required.
  • DoD 8570 compliance certification (IAT LVL II and above required)
  • On call to support the NSA Helpdesk for the AMHS application
  • Experience in installing and maintaining Windows Server operating systems. Perform system administration duties on Windows Servers to include the World Wide Web (IIS).
  • Experience in installing, monitoring and upgrading Microsoft SQL Server.
  • At least 5 years' experience with the Telos Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) application (preferred)
  • Experience with the process of security accreditation of an information system to include familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Policy and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows based hardware and system software.
  • Experience in mission critical, 24x7 operational command center environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required.
  • A calm, professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required.
