Job Description
The Kriwacki lab seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PRA) to investigate the roles of biomolecular condensate formation in oncogenesis by fusion oncoproteins using molecular and cell biology methods, and fluorescence imaging approaches.

We recently established that many fusion oncoproteins undergo phase separation to form condensates that drive aberrant gene expression or cell signaling (PMC10539325, PMC8983581, doi.org/10.1146/annurev-cancerbio-061421-122050). However, the biophysical mechanisms underlying condensate formation and how condensates alter cellular behavior are poorly understood. This PRA will work in a highly collaborative team environment with biochemists, biophysicists, data scientists and image analysis specialists to address fundamental questions surrounding fusion oncoproteins in pediatric cancers, including leukemias, brain tumors and sarcomas. This PRA should have been productive in their doctoral studies, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding lab bench skills, and possess keen scientific curiosity.
