Job Description
Primary Function:
     Repair and maintain the engines, hydraulics, drive trains, electrical, fuel systems, suspension, and all other ancillary items on company motorized vehicles, equipment, and tools

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Troubleshoot and repair company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Perform minor and major repairs on all company vehicles, equipment, and tools. 
  • Diagnose vehicles and equipment that are malfunctioning and identify the necessary parts required for repair. Coordinate with the shop staff for ordering parts. 
  • Fabricate and welding is a bonus. 
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs and all service records. 
  • Keep mechanics work trucks stocked with commonly used items and keep trucks clean, neat, and orderly. 
  • Ascertain all pertinent information about a malfunctioning piece of equipment and procure the necessary parts prior to being dispatched to repair. 
  • Communicate with equipment operators and gather any information that will assist in the repair and servicing or the vehicle or equipment. 
  • Maintain and secure work tools.
  • Clean and maintain work area and clean equipment after repair removing grease, fluid spills, and smudges.
  • Tun off and lock out equipment when not in use and install tags. 
  • work in accordance with the Company Safety Program and bring to the attention of the foreman any safety violations or concerns.
