Human Capital Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Capital Consultant specialized in human capital change and transformation management to join our team, focusing on providing expert consultancy services to our federal client. As an integral part of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing HR business processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall effectiveness within the agency.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Human Capital Consultant: Based on experience.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Human Capital Consultant Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing HR processes within the agency to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Analyze workflows, document current processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to the agency on HR best practices, industry trends, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with agency HR teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that address organizational challenges and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Develop comprehensive HR process maps, workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes that align with the agency's strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with HR and organizational leadership to facilitate change management strategies and ensure smooth transitions during process implementations.
  • Provide training and support to agency's staff to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Stay abreast of relevant HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure that HR processes within the agency adhere to legal standards.
  • Mitigate risks by identifying potential compliance issues and developing strategies to address them.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of HR processes.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor the impact of implemented changes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Human Capital Consultant Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification is a plus. Prosci Certified Change Practitioner certification strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Process Consultant or a similar role, with a focus on process optimization and human capital (federal clients preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex business processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience working on large federal agency transformation projects, bonus for commercial experience as well.
  • Public trust or active secret clearance preferred but not required.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
