Job Description

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Process Control Engineer at our Coatesville operation. The Process Control Engineer Level 2 is responsible for our application and HMI Process Control systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial Process Control systems programming, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Design, programming, documentation and support for the existing Level 2 (application and HMI) system
  • Transition level 2 system from VMS based platforms to virtual VMS and Windows platforms
  • Responsible for addressing issues that may impact production or system reliability
  • Implement system upgrades
  • Proactively handle quality and reliability issues
  • Work with vendors on products and performance issues
  • Identify and manage activities necessary to maintain equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Computing Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels or the organization


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 Years of manufacturing Experience as a Level 2 Process Automation Engineer
  • VMS/Vax/Alpha experience
  • .Net (VB, asp) Experience
  • Microsoft DevOps Experience
