Job Description | The Annual Giving Student Assistant will assist the Annual Giving Team in executing fundraising, communication and stewardship projects, as well as completing daily tasks. |
Primary Responsibilities | * Create flyers, social media posts, and graphics using design tools such as Photoshop and Canva * Write fundraising, alumni engagement and donor stewardship social media posts for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn * Collaborate with the Associate Director of Annual Giving to engage members of the giving societies and steward donors with thank you correspondence, phone calls and personal videos * Document interactions with donors in the alumni database, including thank you notes, phone calls and emails, while maintaining confidentiality (i. e. donor information, gift amounts, etc.) * Work with Associate Director of Annual Giving and the Alumni Engagement Student Assistant to create and execute a student philanthropy and education program * Assist with NKU Founders' Day tasks, including donor communication, social media, stewardship, ambassadorship and other duties as assigned * Create and update documents and spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel * Communicate professionally and correspond between multiple NKU departments, external NKU organizations and donors |
Qualifications | * Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) * Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferred * Willingness to take on new projects * Flexible schedule, ability to work 10-20 hours per week * Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented Any candidate who is offered this position will be required to go through a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.
