Who we are looking for:

Internship activities include:

• Creating and deploying new pipelines, cleaning up no longer used pipelines and services
• Developing documentation as needed
• Organizing documentation library
• Improving our build and release process using GitActions
• Investigating pipeline failures by reviewing logs
• Improving logging from AWS to DataDog
• Cleanup of stale, old, archived code to improve system performance
• Utilizing ASCO DevOps operating standards to learn how successful DevOps teams function

Required qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate BA/BS degree program, or graduate program, or recently graduated from a 4-year degree program. Candidates must be at least a junior or entering their junior year of college at the start of the internship.
• Ability to research technology trends and use available resources to troubleshoot assigned issues
• Basic knowledge of Cloud Services, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or GoogleCloud
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (365 preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Professionalism
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with flexibility to adapt to changing needs
• Solid organizational and time management skills and impeccable attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills and professionalism
• Willingness to enhance skills

Duration:10weeksduring thesummer - June 10, 2024, to August 16, 2024. This internship is37.5hours per week.

Compensation:Thissummerinternship position is paid. Additionally, ASCO will provide parking or a metro subsidy to the successful candidate.

Location:This internship is based in Alexandria, VA and will require working onsite. Candidates should reside in the D.C. metro area or be able to relocate at their own expense. If you are not able to work at ASCO Headquarters, please do not apply.
