Cape Fox subsidiary Eagle Health, LLC is accepting resumes for a part-timeRegistered Nurseto provide occupational health services at theFood and Drug Administration Occupational Medical Service Departmentlocatedin Bethesda, Maryland.The Registered Nurse will provide nursing services to employees for protection, promotion, and optimization of health and prevention of illness and injury at the FDA health units in the National Capital Region. Assists with all aspects of health services staffing, competency, processes, customer service, and quality improvement.

Three (3) years clinical experience in Occupational Health, Preventive Medicine or Public Health experience providing direct patient care is required.

Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and problem-focused assessments.

Lead the initial and periodic surveillance programs offered to employees.

Assess and assist in the evaluation and treatment of injuries and illnesses.

Function independently to perform clinical testing, i.e., phlebotomy, audiometry, spirometry, vision tests, EKGs, etc.

Assist in the preparation of employees for work-related travel as part of the travel medicine program.

Participate in wellness program administration.

Administer treatments, immunizations, and medications as indicated.

Works directly with Chief Nurse and other clinical staff, i.e, MD, NP, CMT, Admin staff, Deputy Director, etc.

Educate employees on occupational risks including protective equipment, safety, and obtaining treatment in response to exposures and injuries.

Document all clinical findings and interventions in accordance with clinic guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain appropriate equipment maintenance schedules, ordering supplies, vaccines, inventory, and medications

Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of standard operating practices (SOPs) and other quality of services provided in the occupational health units.

Working with Chief Nurse to ensure services remain uninterrupted, i.e., finding clinic coverage for your designated work shifts, covering various clinics as needed, maintaining required licenses, etc.

This position is a combination of administration and direct hands-on client care.
