Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a RN Fellow to join the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit team within Inova's LJ Murphy Children's Hospital. This position if for an experienced RN looking to change specialties - strongly prefer RN with minimum of 2 years of Cardiac, ICU or Peds experience. This is a full-time, night shift position or d/n rotation.
At Inova, the Pediatric Cardiac ICU serves the needs of critically ill infants, children, and adolescents who require specialized heart care. This specialized unit is staffed by highly skilled nurses and a team of intensivists from multiple subspecialties, including anesthesiology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric heart surgery, neonatology (newborn care), cardiac critical care, and pulmonology (lung care) and. The unit is expanding to include transplant and device management.
Our nationally recognized, 226-bed Inova Children's Hospital houses comprehensive medical services and specialists who focus on the unique treatment of younger patients. Inova Children's Hospital is an award-winning, full-service children's hospital devoted to the healthcare of infants, children and adolescents in the Northern Virginia area.
Candidates are eligible to receive up to $20,000 as a competitive sign on bonus. Those relocating from more than 50 miles away will also receive relocation assistance.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of RN clinical experience- prefer 2 years of Cardiac,ICU or pediatric RN experience.
Education: BSN, MSN or ADN required. If RN has an ADN, must complete BSN within 24 months of state date.
BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required.
RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
Proficient computer skills required.
