Job Description

We have an opportunity for a ServiceNow Developer III to join our talented ServiceNow implementation practice supporting US Federal customers. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their ability to perform with agility and act with an understanding of the importance of the customer's mission--delivering value by managing dynamic environments, objectives, and priorities. The candidate will effectively leverage the ServiceNow platform and their own expertise to implement enterprise business solutions for our customer. They will be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for enhancing the ServiceNow platform, implementing new products, and developing custom ServiceNow solutions. The successful candidate can effectively provide strategic and tactical support to clients, support multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

    Proven experience as a key technical resource leading the development of solutions in client environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and training, perform peer code reviews, and ensure the team follows development best-practices.
  • Experience with implementation of ServiceNow, working with all core ITSM processes, as well as Discovery, Orchestration, App Creator, Demand Management, Project Management, Performance Analytics, and other applications as they relate to ServiceNow
  • Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal and Custom Widget design and development
  • Collaborate with System Administrators and ServiceNow Support concerning strategies and technical aspects of platform upgrades.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide inputs into best practices.
  • Collaborate with various support partners to ensure contract and task deliverables.
  • Custom application development and implementation
  • Create and maintain API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other Services.
  • Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting a variety of complex software problems, implementing bug fixes, and performing root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with project team members to design and deliver creative, scalable, and maintainable solutions to complex problems.
  • Supports developing new functionality including integration of enterprise business data, business process workflow and user defined data for querying and reporting as required.
  • Ensures required documentation is complete and associated process steps are followed.
Qualifications

Required

  • BS/BA in a related field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Management preferred)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
  • Minimum of six (6) years of direct development experience with the ServiceNow platform
  • Experience with Java scripting (Angular JS preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise with ServiceNow APIs and integration.
  • Demonstrated experience developing solutions consistent with architectural standards and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Experience developing and implementing systems in Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Must be eligible to meet government eligibility requirements.
  • This is a W-2, Full-Time, Remote position.

Preferred

  • ITIL v4 Foundations Certification.
  • Two (2) years of experience with web technologies such as DHTML, CSS, AJAX, XML, HTTP
  • Two (2) years of experience with Server-side technologies such as Rino, Jelly
  • Three (3) years of Database technologies such as JDBC, SQL, MySQL, Oracle
  • Previous experience configuring and customizing all aspect of ServiceNow to include - UI Actions, UI Policy, UI Pages, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Include Scripts, Catalog Client Scripts, Catalog UI Policies, Email Scripts, Scripted Web Services, Rest and SOAP web services, Roles / Groups
  • Understanding and experience related to advanced ServiceNow development, including the following:
    • Browser events, best practices in JavaScript coding, style sheets, jQuery
    • The Glide Stack, Jelly scripts along with SN extensions, server-side JavaScript
    • Database relationships, views, query definition, before/after business rules
    • Experience configuring ServiceNow ITBM, HRSD, and/or Security Operations applications.
  • Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
