Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking SkillBridge Interns in support of various programs to assist military members who are transitioning into the civilian workforce. This is application is to collect possible SkillBridge Interns and assess eligibility qualifications. no hires will be made against this role directly.

The DoD SkillBridge initiative is tailored to furnish active-duty service members with valuable opportunities for civilian job training, the enhancement of employment skills, and practical work experience within the final 180 days of their military service. Each applicant's eligibility will be assessed based on the following criteria:

    Military Experience Alignment: Evaluation of your military background and its alignment with potential Peraton internship positions.
  1. Peraton Program Approval: Verification of approval from an internal Peraton program that will sponsor the internship.
  2. Peraton's Capability: Assessment of Peraton's capacity to furnish you with a fitting internship experience, conforming to the SkillBridge Program Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

A successful application involves the completion and approval of this SkillBridge application, which will be on record with Peraton before commencing an internship.

This application becomes mandatory to indentify an internship or if internship opportunity has already been identified for you, and you have undergone the selection process and secured approval from Peraton, and we have received the endorsed application from your commanding officer.

Should the position require it, the SkillBridge Intern must possess the requisite level of security clearance and obtain, if necessary, approval from the customer for participation in the internship.

Qualifications

Required:

  • The DOD SkillBridge program is for active-duty service members and select groups of the National Guard and the Reserves within 180-days or less of their separation date.
  • Service members should ideally be CONUS to be considered.
  • If you are OCONUS, Peraton must be actively conducting business at the location in which you would intern.

It is strongly recommended that service members complete mandatory components of the DOD Transition Assistance Program (TAP) prior to starting a SkillBridge program to ensure that they are well informed of their post-service options prior to entering this program.
