Overview

Seeking a motivated individual with electric distribution design experience. Designers take field notes, pictures and measurements to aid in the completion of design work. Distribution design work includes overhead to underground primary and secondary conversions, distribution pole replacements, and overhead conductor replacements.

At times, designers work closely with the right-of way team to find an alternative route and adjust easements on designs when necessary. Designers will be in their field on average 30-40% of their time to compile field information and speak with customers about project specifics.


Responsibilities

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty meeting external and internal client expectations.
  • Responsible for taking all field notes, pictures and measurement data to complete designs and redesigns utilizing AutoCAD.
  • Collaborating with other Designers, Survey Crew Members, and Row Agents
  • Maintain safe working environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum of 6 months of communications and/or electrical design experience
  • Minimum of 6 months of AutoCAD Design experience
  • ArcGIS is highly desired not required.
