Job Description

The Sr. Systems Analyst - Medical Staff Credentialing leads credentialing for the Provider Communication Team to consolidate and centralize provider communication function. Leads team that will serve as a central point of contact for provider communications. Provides leadership and coordination to internal and external groups to ensure smooth project collaboration between stakeholders, including Credentialing, HIM, and MU team. Research and correct provider communication errors related to Meaningful Use. Evaluate Research and Process provider demographic updates. Add new Providers upon request both internal and external organization databases and SureScripts. Provides routine and ad hoc reports related to Provider Communication Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads team that will serve as a central point of contact for provider communications. Provides leadership and coordination to internal and external groups to ensure smooth project collaboration between stakeholders, including Credentialing, HIM, and MU team.
  • Collaborates with Director to assure effective and efficient processes, project requests and use of resources.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of system's information needs, requirements and capabilities. Serves as primary contact for problem solving related to Provider Communication Team.
  • Develops quality control mechanisms for data entry. Audit Database for compliance to standard and communicate or correct discrepancies.
  • Assists in the creation, development, review and maintenance of effective policies, procedures and guidelines for auditing compliance and process improvement. Responsible for ensuring the teams follows policies and procedures and is meeting the Service Excellence standards.
  • Assure project requests are properly vetted and Request for Service are generated and approved prior to fulfilling requests. Reviews request for accuracy, appropriate justification, and appropriate authorization.
  • Monitors issues and requests to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Establishes priorities and adjusts resources for timely competition of tasks.
  • Research and correct provider communication errors related to Meaningful Use
  • Evaluate, Research and Process provider demographic updates
  • Add new Providers upon request both internal and external organization databases and SureScripts
  • Provides routine and ad hoc reports for trending and analysis of activities and staffing needs.
  • Responsible for training and educating internal and external personnel in System Function, Practitioner Master Interface and Downstream Communication Requirements
  • Research, Analyze and Effectively Communicate regarding Government Policy Related to scope of Practice for Health Care Practitioners
  • Research, Monitor and Maintain Regulatory Requirements
  • Maintains an Understanding and can Communicate Interface Logic for Stakeholders
  • Participates in discussions with Internal Audit department to understand and meet compliance requirements. Ensures that we are meeting compliance requirements, as evidenced by random audits.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's Degree
  • Experience: 5 years of recent relevant experience managing IT application analysis and support. Requires project management expertise and leadership skills in addition to extensive technical experience. Requires knowledge of healthcare informatics, team dynamics, and broad range of technology.
