West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are recruiting a physiatrist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in education and research. Clinical and basic science research is encouraged and supported. Laboratory facilities are also available. All faculty are required to take an active role in our integrated residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.Qualified candidates will have a special interest in the medical management of rehabilitation needs for neurologic, general rehabilitation patients, with procedural skills in spasticity management. Electrodiagnostic procedures are available.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program and be board certified/eligible in physical medicine and rehabilitation. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
