Job Purpose & Summary


System High requires consultants and part-time on-call (PTOC) personnel to provide Proactive Protection Secure Holdings Risk-reduction and Equipment Destruction (P2 SHRED) support to this important System High offering. The position requires a minimum of a fully adjudicated SECRET security clearance to assist our teams with the disassembly and eventual destruction of classified IT equipment at nationwide customer sites.

Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Assist the on-site Team Lead with the organized hands-on destruction of IT materials in anticipation of those materials being destroyed in an industrial hammer mill.
  • Travel via US air carries is required to support work around the US.
  • Set-up of materials and workstations in preparation for the systematic hands-on destruction of materials including tool inventory and accountability, equipment placement, vehicle placement.
  • Provides recommendation to the Team Lead on a wide range of job topics.
  • Supports the Team Lead in the prioritization of workflow.
  • Provides coordination of efforts enabling the most effective performance of the assigned team and their duties
  • Ensures constant communication with the on-site Team Lead.
  • Travel schedule is based on availability of the candidate and the number of jobs produced in any given month. Virtually all travel is stateside but overseas travel may be involved on a case-by-case basis.
  • Requires the candidate to work around heavy, loud equipment requiring the use of eye and ear protection.
  • Be a proactive member of a team to execute the mission.
Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills

  • Ability to travel within the US for up to two weeks at a time and stay in the area of the job location in a hotel.
  • Ability to interface with clients and develop productive working relationships with those clients and team are critical to meet mission objectives.
  • Independent self-starter, proactive, professional, and assertive.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professional confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use various power and hand tools effectively and safely.
  • Available to work before/after typical office hours as requirements demand.
  • Weekend travel is required for certain jobs not in the candidate's local area or within a reasonable driving distance of the candidate's home.
  • Maintain a professional appearance on-site through, in-part, the wearing of P2 SHRED apparel (shirts, zippered jackets, hats, etc.,)
  • Admin experience sufficient to execute paperwork for security clearance vetting.
  • Familiarly with the Microsoft Office suite of products like Word, Excel, Outlook or other email platforms.
  • Complete and submit expense reports for reimbursement.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 8-hours a day.
  • Position requires long periods of standing, up to 8-hours a day and may involve work outside during hot or cold weather not always under a covered space.
  • Cell phones are not typically allowed on the job site. When they are, their use will be minimal as decided by the on-site Team Lead.
