Summary:

180 Homeshare is a new program built upon St. Ambrose's longstanding Homesharing program model, offering innovative housing by matching homeowners willing to let a spare room, and providing an opportunity to build community while coordinated services support attainment of permanent housing and livelihood goals. The program is designed to help Returning Citizens identify and achieve the program goals related to maintaining safe, stable housing, employment, education, to increase life skills and avoid reincarceration.

The Assistant Case Manager, 180 Homeshare will perform a variety of administrative and project-related tasks in support of the Senior Case Manager, and directly related to the programmatic goals of providing comprehensive case management services to formally incarcerated individuals returning to the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Case Manager with intakes and review of interviews
  • Collect and record data on program participants; track outcomes for applicants who are not accepted into the program
  • Collect, record and review client intakes and other data points as necessary for reporting
  • Develop, expand, and maintain a list of resources and program partners
  • Collaborate with Program Evaluator to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
  • Understanding and empathy for the needs of returning citizens and/or incarcerated individuals
  • Experience with Remark Software or ability to be taught the data system to proficiency
  • Dependable, insured transportation, a valid Maryland Driver's license and acceptable driving record. A DMV printout and proof of insurance will be required.

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring medium exertion, talking, and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirement. These physical demands are required up to 85% of the time.
