What You Will Do:

Position Impact

Gannett Fleming is looking for a QA/QC Coordinator (with Transit/Facility background) for our Washington, DC or Fairfax office. Come join our team!

The Work You'll Do

Responsibilities for the QA/QC Coordinator position will include, but not be limited to:

  • Oversee in collaboration with WMATA's Task Manager and/or designees' overall compliance with
  • WMATA procedures identified in the Project Implementation Manual and Contracts;
  • Ensure project quality plan is being implemented in the design, construction, and deployment process and adequate records are being maintained for every step;
  • Assist in the development of the new quality control processes where needed, in collaboration with the project team and WMATA stakeholders;
  • Oversee and audit ongoing contracts to measure overall contract health through predetermined contract metrics;
  • Represent WMATA's Project Manager and/or Task Manager at meetings as assigned;
  • Prepare project status reports to monitor and document the ongoing progress of the WMATA assigned tasks and record how adequate progress is being made within the assigned Task durations; and
  • Perform other project-related duties as assigned by WMATA's Project Manager and/or Task Manager.
Education | Experience:

The Qualifications You'll Need

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field plus a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable experience in quality control and/or construction safety; a minimum of two (2) years out of five shall be in the transportation industry;
  • Demonstrated Quality Assurance experience on rail transit projects, specifically on electrical systems;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards and its application to planning, design, and construction;
  • Demonstrated past experience in a QA/QC role in a fast-paced engineering environment;
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and strong technical writing skills; and
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Procore.
