Octo has an opportunity for a Technology Refresh Program Technician to perform activities related to installing new laptop and desktop computers at one or more for new and current staff following a standard, periodic process for replacing outdated and obsolete devices.

Program Mission...
The program will provide desktop management and user support, to include computer systems, mobile devices, printers, and software, for several thousand government and contractor staff across the Maryland Metro area and those working remotely.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment
* Complete multiple refreshes daily with strong attention to detail
* Document actions and solutions performed with client in ticketing system
* Stage equipment at user locations
* Backup and restore all local user profile(s) data and local settings
* De-install legacy equipment
* Install new equipment and verify connectivity and functionality
* Verify that asset tag, serial number, username, and location data match plan
* Validate customer logon and use their new asset
* Provide basic troubleshooting support
* Support removal of assets
* Other duties as assigned related to Technology Refresh
Skills & RequirementsRequirements...
* Experience installing software on laptop and/or desktop computers
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Self-starter, dependable/reliable, work independently or in a team environment
* Strong commitment to excellence, sense of urgency and dedication to client satisfaction
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized
* Capable of prioritizing work and multi-tasking
* Basic knowledge of workstation hardware
* Experience installing software on laptop and/or desktop computers
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint etc.)
* Must be able to move/handle equipment up to 40 pounds
Years of Experience: 1-3 years IT support experience
Education/Certifications: Associates; two additional years of experience can be substituted for the degree
Locations: Rockville, MD/Maryland Metro Area
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain an agency Public Trust clearance
