Financial Analyst/Remote

Aveshka is seeking a Financial Analyst who will report directly to the Chief Administration Officer. The position is responsible for providing functional and operational system support across the suite of Aveshka financial applications (including Deltek Costpoint and other systems). The individual will coordinate with the Finance and Information Technology team and successfully support the applications in line with established SLAs.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct Accounts Payables activities to include:

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
  • Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
  • Execute check and EFT payments
  • Vendor/1099 set-up and maintenance
  • AP account reconciliations
  • Assist in monthly financial reports and close out to include ensuring all AP invoices have been posted and accounts reconciled.

* Assist Accounts Receivables activities to include:

  • Preparing monthly government contract billings to include invoices.
  • Recording Cash Receipts and managing AR Aging reports.
  • Reconciling corporate bank accounts.
  • Analysis of unbilled revenue.
  • Project set-up and maintenance in Costpoint (ERP) system.
  • Providing management with contract status for cost and revenue, as needed.

* Provide end-user functional support/troubleshooting and training for key areas of Costpoint:

  • Financial architecture (Projects/Orgs/Accounts)
  • Project setup, cost ceilings, billing, and revenue for different contract types
  • Unbilled Analysis

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience with financial reporting and administering US Government contracts.
  • Experience with accounting and financial reporting; experience with Costpoint, Deltek, ADP
  • Must have strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel (including design and development of moderate to complex spreadsheets), and MS Outlook.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Must have experience with Government cost reporting, to include billings.
  • Strong organizational skills in which attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
  • Ability to problem-solve, both autonomously and within teams.
  • Approachable and confident personality type, comfortable within a wide range of organizational environments.
  • High integrity and natural desire to assume responsibility.
  • Experience with the FAR and other U.S. Federal Government contract regulations.
