The Director of Materials Management is responsible for coordination of the entire inventory process beginning with the placement of orders with vendors through receiving, verifying, storing, and distribution of supplies to proper locations. The Director oversees the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

  • Fosters a collaborative environment within the hospital system, as well as within LifePoint as a whole (e.g. other hospitals and HSC). Builds professional relationships with Supply Chain colleagues, senior leadership, clinical and operational leaders, vendors, and process partners.
  • Applies key financial concepts and analysis to decision making. Participates in the budget planning process. Adheres to realistic budgets to achieve the organization's objectives.
  • Champions best practices through daily operations. Maintain awareness of changing trends, technology, and information affecting the healthcare industry.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. Qualifications

Minimum Education
Associate's degree Preferred X Required
Bachelor's degree X Preferred Required

Minimum Work Experience
Required - 2 years of leadership experience in materials management/supply chain area
Preferred - 5 years of supervisory experience, experience in a healthcare setting
