Octo has an opportunity to lead efforts in the development, implementation, measurement, governance/compliance, and risk management a federal health agency's IT Asset Portfolio.
As an IT Asset Manager, you'll:
* Purchase, appraise, manage total asset visibility, and determine disposition of IT assets (i.e. desktops, printers, software, etc.); managing related documents, licenses, data, policies, processes, and best practices.
* Manage complete life cycle of company assets that are owned, leased, or licensed.
* Manage all activities within the procurement process from order placement to product deployment, ensuring compliance with the organization's policies.
* Contribute to vendor or manufacturer selection, reviews vendor performance, and make recommendations for performance improvements.
* Supports auditing, reporting, and risk management.

The program will provide desktop management and user support, to include computer systems, mobile devices, printers, and software, for several thousand staff across the Maryland Metro area and those working remotely.
Skills & RequirementsRequirements...
* At least 5 years' related experience managing IT asset management (i.e. desktops, printers, software, etc.) for several thousand users.
* Experience with asset management and ITSM tools/databases
* Experience with leading ITIL standards and hold an ITIL Foundations certification (or obtain within the first 3 months of hire).
Years of Experience: At least 5 years' related experience.
Education/Certifications: Associates; two years additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
Locations: Rockville, MD/Maryland Metro Area.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
