Position Overview: VTG is looking for a skilled and passionate Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. You will employe advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop model, algorithms, and analytical solutions that address our clients challenges.
What will you do?
- Determine appropriate approaches to analyze data sets (including statistical analysis).
- Develop and utilize Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and other predictive data modeling techniques.
- Move toward predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Develop user-friendly, easy to understand repo1ts ( e.g., graphs, charts, briefing slides, targeted explanatory or interpretive text) for clients to meet business needs.
- Create, enhance, and maintain data visualizations using Tableau and other tools. (This includes dashboards.) Use Tableau Prep.
- Develop interpretive statements based on analyses and available information.
Do you have what it takes?
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience with using programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python and SQL.
- 2+ years of experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis.
- Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing.
- Ability to create reports and present key insights based on analysis.
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and experience implementing standard NLP methodologies such as TF-IDF or FastText.
- Experience programming in an AWS Cloud environment.
