General Description. This position is within the Field Accounting Department at Hubbard Construction Company and will provide clerical and data entry support for the Field Accounting Department and reports to the Division Controller.

Key Duties

Manage subcontracts, including verification of bonding and insurance, payroll reporting (if applicable) and processing of pay requests

Process Vendor Payments

Review Vendor Statements

Respond to questions and inquiries from subcontractors, vendors and the project staff
Monitoring of NTO's and processing of lien releases

Must be flexible to work beyond normal work hours as required to meet project deadlines.

Qualification Requirements

  • General. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily.   • Education and Experience. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required and 3+ years' experience in the accounting field. Prior construction accounting experience preferred. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with Project managers and fellow employees. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Must be proficient with MS Office, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Prior SAP experience is preferred.
  • Physical Demands. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an Accounting Supervisor to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Regularly required to sit and/or stand during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day.
    • Employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.
    • Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 25 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Continuous mental attention required to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
