C Technologies, Inc. seeks a mid- to senior level Project Manager to support various government contracting customers with training design and development and other performance improvement related projects.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager:

  • Is responsible for the entire project management lifecycle of assigned projects (initiating, planning, executing, controlling and monitoring, closing).
  • Is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and controlling contract costs, schedules and the quality of products and services delivered.
  • Manages and leads assigned personnel, making sure the staff understands their assignments and has the resources needed to be successful, holding periodic staff meetings to discuss staff concerns and to communicate information, and helping resolve any conflicts that may arise among staff.
  • Prepares staffing plans (assigns type of employee needed for various tasks) for the contracts he/she manages.
  • Is responsible for timely and accurate submission of change in scope documentation not identified within the contract.
  • Collects and evaluates data to create status reports.
  • Serves as the C2 manager interface for contractually approved routine technical, scheduled and product development issues.
  • Assists with the development of proposals for prospective updates to customer's products and services.
  • Is responsible for informing Senior Leadership of potential/actual issues, concerns or problems that may impact the schedule, costs or quality of products and services.
  • Is based in or around Newport News, Virginia.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in any field. Adult Learning Theory, Education, or Instructional Media Technology, or similar, is preferred.
  • Experience with government contracted projects in the area of training design or development is a must. Work with the Department of Defense in training development projects/project management is preferred.
  • PMP or PgMP certification is favorable.
  • 5 - 7 years of project management or team lead work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects within budget on schedule within tight timeframes, to effectively manage resources in a matrixed environment, and to ensure products are of the highest quality.
  • Ability to lead a team of Instructional Designers, Multimedia Developers, Graphic Artists, Programmers and/or administrative personnel.
  • Customer-service oriented, quality-oriented.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the ISD process.
  • Reports interim and final results back to leadership.
  • Develops sound client relationships.
  • Acts as the primary client contact for assigned contracts.
  • Experience providing proposal support is a plus.
  • Ability to stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Ability to mentor and coach staff
  • Ability to motivate teams and work harmoniously across a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to obtain security clearances.
