Description

The psychiatric licensed practical nurse provides services in behavioral health inpatient under the supervision of a registered nurse. Provides care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, and administers and monitors treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse based on the patient's diagnosis, reason for entry into the system. Other duties include interdisciplinary team involvement and education and supervision of UAPs. Performs duties within the scope of the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established organizational and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements
1. Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate with a minimum of one year of experience in an inpatient setting.
2. Current state of Missouri license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
3. Current BCLS.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Two years of Inpatient Behavioral Health Experience
2. IV Certification
