Description

Highlights:

  • I-3 is a company with many forensics opportunities. The candidate will get first-hand knowledge of what we do and be involved in other forensics activities.

Typical Day:

Work within the Firearms Unit in a fully-functioning, accredited laboratory. All work takes place in the laboratory.

Tasks:

  • Receive and inventory evidence
  • Process, analyze and examine evidence according to forensic science discipline and accreditation standards and FLS policies and procedures
  • Create examination documentation for work performed
  • Issue forensic laboratory examination reports
  • Provide expert testimony on work performed

Required/Desired Qualifications:

  • Education: Prefer (but not needed) B.S. degree with at least twenty-four (24) credit hours in the Physical Sciences.
  • Experience: Prefer experience working in an accredited laboratory.
  • Demonstrated ability to study and pass training, examination, and testing assessments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS)

Shift Information:

  • Full time
  • Day shift (normal working hours falling between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.)

Citizenship: US Citizenship required.

Clearance: ability to obtain/maintain USPIS clearance required.

Experience
1 years: working in an accredited laboratory (preferred)
