Job Description
The proposed contractor would provide technical and operational support in four key areas of the IT Division s Enterprise Voice Service: Assist with the Design, build, installation of Cisco Collaboration systems. Assist with Building Renovation projects, including the deployment and configuration of phones and other hardware. Assist with the Conversion of Telephones and endpoints from Avaya systems to Cisco Collaboration. Assist with integrating Cisco systems with MS Teams. Technical support for the Board s Telephone endpoints and across the Washington DC campus and including locations in Virginia and Maryland. Technical Support for the Board s Avaya and Cisco Audio and Video Conference systems. Minimum Required Experience and Competencies: The contractor must be highly knowledgeable and have demonstrated technical experience in the following: Ability to work independently or as a member of a team, make recommendations for technical solutions, and research products and services for future implementation. Excellent analytical, customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written) Excellent ability to work well in stressful situations (e.g. fixing an issue in with a server or system while multiple users are out of service) 7+ years implementing and supporting enterprise Collaboration or Communications systems 3+ years experience with administration and installation of Cisco systems 2+ years experience with administration and support of Avaya systems Working knowledge of the following: o SIP o H.323 o Cisco CUCM o Cisco CMS o Cisco Expressway o Cisco Unity Connect o Avaya Communication Manager o Avaya Session Manager o Avaya Systems Manager o Avaya Enterprise Session Border Controller (eClient) Desired: Experiences in: Conversion of Avaya systems to Cisco Systems Integration between Cisco and MS Teams Project Management of large scale projects that include coordination with more than one team or IT area.
Technical Skills:
One or more of the following Industry Certifications Cisco CCNA Collaboration Cisco CCNP Collaboration Cisco CCIE Collaboration Avaya Solutions Administrator Certificate (ASAC)
