Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and creative Management Consultant to join our team. The position is based in the McLean, Virginia area. While in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in an office that is a well-established element of the client. This creative, innovative, and forward-leaning office is executing leadership's mandate to break new ground in data analysis. Through data manipulation and analysis, they are building new tools that use data; these tools are bringing new insights to drive change and create new solutions to hard problems.

Key Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform loading, clean-up, organizing and management of numerous data sets
  • Perform analysis, create visualizations, and develop briefings for presentation to senior leadership
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required Skills/Abilities
  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a consulting role
  • Experience managing multiple data sets
  • Bachelor's degree
Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree is required for this position
  • Master Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science preferred, but not required
Desired Skills/Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis and advanced statistical concepts
  • Experience exhibiting problem solving skills and understanding not only how to display data but making sure the data answers the target questions
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience getting data or proposing ways in which to measure or collect the data in the future
  • Experience working with and manipulating the data to answer the question at hand or develop metrics that are relevant
  • Experience building dashboards (and/or placemats) or briefs and supporting thinking around the substance and content of those placemats
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience performing longitudinal studies and cohort analysis and building the datasets to enable these studies
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Data Analytics
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience solving data problems, successfully and skillfully conveying process and outcomes to senior stakeholders in both written and oral formats
  • Comfortable balancing multiple tasks at one time
  • Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary teams and comfort working individually with little guidance
  • Comfort working in unstructured environments with ambitious requirements and guidance
  • Intellectually curious and motivated to research and learn new techniques to support the client's mission
  • Experience extracting key data from the client's systems via the use of various programming languages (e.g., SQL)
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Data Analytics tools including SQL Developer, SAS, Tableau, Python, R/R-Studio
  • Experience working in a management consultant environment
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience briefing results and associated methodologies in a manner that is easy for non-technical audience to understand
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with the client's data systems
  • Experience with Machine Learning
  • Experience with Human Centered Design or Design Thinking (Persona building etc.)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings
  • Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region
