Retail Associate (Edgewater)

Hiring all Line Staff Roles (Pay Rate: $15.00)



JOB SUMMARY:

The Retail Associate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while reviewing, sorting, and hanging/tagging donations for the sales floor. In the cashier role, cash handling and managing the register will be key. For the Production Sorter role, managing and reviewing inventory for the sales floor will be the primary responsibility. Working in the ADC or Donations attendant role, job duties would consist of physical labor and staging which include but is not limited to standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling while accepting donations from donors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • * Operates a cash register in compliance with cash handling policies
  • * Maintains neat, clean and consumer-attractive sales floor
  • * Maintains fresh inventory levels at front of store
  • * Sort, price, tag and hang donated goods in preparation for stocking the sales floor as needed
  • * Performs daily and nightly recovery of sales floor
  • * Promotes all Company initiatives, including working with Round Up
  • * Sort, price, tag and hang donated goods in preparation for stocking the sales floor
  • * Ensures quality of merchandise and pre-sorts items for salvage
  • * Meets daily production goals of 7 racks, 100 pieces per rack or team goal as approved
  • * Performs daily and nightly recovery of sales floor
  • * Assists customers by answering questions and providing excellent customer service
  • * Assists and accepts donations from customers, issues donation receipts and completes donor log
  • * Assesses quality of merchandise and pre-sorts items for salvage
  • * Assists customers with unloading donations from vehicle
  • * Assists customers by answering questions and providing exceptional customer service
  • * Loads and unloads trailers for shipment
  • * Labels gaylords accurately
  • * Safely operates a pallet jack, pallet stacker, and forklift if applicable.
  • * Maintains in compliance with safety and housekeeping practices and expectations
  • * Maintains a professional and flexible attitude; Willing to take on different job responsibilities and assignments
  • * Promotes the mission and values of Goodwill
  • * Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • * Must be able to perform essential functions for the above roles.
  • * Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments with little direct supervision
  • * Basic math will be needed for any cash handling roles.
