Precise Systems, Inc. seeks qualified candidates for our new Submarine Sea Trials Project Manager role at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington D.C.. This program office is responsible for identifying, assembling, managing, directing, and coordinating the resources required for the R&D, design, construction, Test and Evaluation and Live Fire Test and Evaluation of the COLUMBIA Class submarine. The program is a major defense acquisition program and is of significant political importance with Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

Duties:

  • Plan and coordinate test & evaluation events for COLUMBIA Class submarines
  • Provide expert-level guidance to various teams regarding program management processes, coordinating schedules between project teams, supporting cost assessments, identifying and managing risk, and developing CONOP procedures
  • Use standard Microsoft Office tools to create briefs, write letters, or build spreadsheets to communicate necessary points, promulgate decisions, or analyze and present data.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in any technical/STEM related discipline

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Detailed knowledge of submarine operating procedures (OPs), operating instruction (OIs), and casualty procedures (CPs) in support of developing the COLUMBIA Class logistical technical documentation (LTD) products
  • Submarine executive officer experience is desirable, but not required
  • Submarine squadron deputy experience beneficial, but not required
  • Submarine operational experience within the last five years.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
