POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a (9:30PM - 6:00AM) Controls Technician - Third Shift based in Indianapolis, IN. The Controls Technician is responsible for installing, programming, testing, calibrating, operating, and repairing the control systems, along with their related software, hardware, and equipment..

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26.80/hr - $33.19/hr, plus a .75 cent shift differential and mandatory overtime as needed. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to control and monitoring systems and perform needed repairs
  • Test and calibrate systems devices to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring system
  • Install, modify, and maintain system hardware such as electrical conduit, sensor wiring, power supplies, control system enclosures, etc.
  • Maintain and operate workstations, including creating/updating, maintaining a point database, and maintaining infrastructure
  • Program control systems using appropriate system program language for proper sequences of operations and operating schedules
  • Maintain and repair AC and DC motors and control systems, Lighting systems, Transformers, Flame Control Systems, M.C.C./Switchgear
  • Audit electrical systems for operational and safety conditions, identifying potential hazards and correcting them.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience installing and maintain building/plant control systems and their related equipment
  • Experience with PC and application software
  • Knowledgeable of Ladder logic and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

WHAT WE PREFER

  • 2 years of electrical technical training,
  • Associate's degree in related technical field
