West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine seeks a Family Medicine Clinical Faculty Physician specializing in Women's Health/OB qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV and surrounding areas. Here, you'll have an opportunity to join a well-established residency program faculty within a prestigious academic medical setting allowing you to make an impact not just on the future generations of Family Medicine providers - but the health of the entire state of West Virginia through our multidisciplinary Patient Centered Medical Home model. Duties: The successful candidate will practice the full range of obstetrics and family medicine in a supportive environment. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program. Qualifications: applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in Family Medicine. Family Medicine - OB fellowship training is preferred. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. With an anticipated opening 2022, our new 150 bed Children's Hospital and Women's Pavilion will house a 30-bed obstetrical unit and maternal-fetal medicine clinic.
