The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to work in our Canal Ponds Manufacturing Facility. The Warehouse coordinator will be responsible to perform a variety of duties to receive, distribute, and store incoming materials, products, supplies and equipment into storage or user departments. This position operates material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, pallet stacker, personal WAV unit, etc.) and organizes incoming products for verification against shipping documentation. Maintains and verifies tracking records for supplies received and dispensed. This position will regularly conduct physical inventory counts, making necessary updates to computer system regarding inventory and submitting audit data to supervisor. The candidate will exercise extreme care in handling, storing and disposing of hazardous and nonhazardous material in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, disposing of packing materials and garbage, and other related tasks.

This position is in Rochester, NY.

Schedule: Primarily A shift

The Responsibilities
  • Unloads and loads delivery trucks at multiple docks.

  • Review and pull items needed to fill each order.

  • Record location information in appropriate log.

  • High level of discretion and good judgment to ensure appropriate labeling of product and supplies.

  • Processes finished goods orders for shipment to appropriate distribution centers.

  • Inspects products received to ensure product meets quality specification, verify shipping conditions and standards as noted in Product Management System (SAP).

  • Prepares accurate records/documentation related to receipt of materials and storage of materials.

  • Processes a high volume of goods and supplies including unpacking, verifying, labeling and distributing to appropriate locations.

  • Stocks incoming products and supplies in appropriate, assigned storage areas and retrieves materials from warehouse as needed.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma, GED.

  • 2 years of warehouse/distribution experience.

  • Fork-lift experience required; prior licensing

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP experience strongly.

  • Microsoft Office skills strongly.

  • Ability to read and write in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.

Internal Partners: Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering

External Partners: Transportation Carriers, Suppliers, and End Customers

The Work Environment

The work environment characteristics are representative of a manufacturing, laboratory, or warehouse environment and include handling of viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, as well as infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues, and samples. Up to 75% of the time you will be, standing, walking or bending for extended periods of time. Able to lift up to 50lbs and use force to pull or push up to 800lbs on devices with wheels. Visual acuity, basic math and computational skills and solving of equations. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production requirements. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.
