The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Senior Analyst, Operations Strategy to work at our Corporate office in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego. The Senior Analyst contributes to the development and evolution of QuidelOrtho Operations strategy and roadmap. This Position will work with Ops Finance, Manufacturing sites, and HR to gather and analyze strategic decisions and create models based on criteria critical to the growth and maintenance of our Operations Faculties, Equipment, and resources. Working under the guidance of the Senior Director, the Strategy Analyst is responsible for modeling options, planning, and execution of assigned projects and programs.

This position can be in, Rochester, NY, San Diego, CA, Raritan, NJ, or Remote.

The Responsibilities
  • Builds financial models, formulates strategic insights, and participates in developing recommendations to drive value across Operations including capacity utilization and make vs buy as examples.

  • Analyzes large amounts of information and data quickly and effectively to reduce complexity.

  • Identifies issues and forms actionable recommendations with team guidance. Through rigorous analyses, focus on our customers, creative thinking, contributes to the development of the strategic direction for operations.

  • Develops business cases by partnering closely with leadership, Sites, and Finance.

  • Takes a lead role in problem solving and developing recommendations to key business issues.

  • Presents complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.

The Individual

  • 4 years of experience in finance, global operations, or supply chain roles.

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Very strong analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to drive projects and plans with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with, and influence all levels within an organization.

  • Strong business acumen understands the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and revenue goals of an organization.

  • Expertise with PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Ability to take complex information and summarize for a broad audience of executives, professionals, and field representatives.

  • Proactive, disciplined, individual who can drive results.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Key Working Relationships

This position will interact cross-functionally as needed to support strategic initiatives; functions including various levels of leadership, including Finance, Operations, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Logistics, Distribution, and Planning

The Work Environment

Typical office environment with extensive data management. No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 40% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 60% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical/ development work. Occasional travel may be required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel. Flexible work hours to meet project deadlines.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $92,900 to $170,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
