The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Analyst - IT Controls and Compliance. The position can be located in Rochester, NY, Raritan, NJ, or East Coast Remote.

The Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or support IT Audit initiatives to ensure controls are in place and are aligned with SOX compliance (primary focus) and in support of other compliance frameworks where appropriate.

  • Administer and collaborate with owners (system, control, business, etc.) to ensure completion of user access and system and organization controls (SOC) reviews.

  • Perform IT internal controls compliance monitoring and reviews as required.

  • Support external IT compliance audits as required.

  • Work with project teams to advise and assist in meeting IT Controls and Systems Development Life Cycle compliance requirements across new system implementations.

  • Work with vendors to evaluate compliance and general IT operations (e.g., financial and IT general controls compliance, system availability, backups/restores, service level agreements, etc.).

  • Provide guidance and support across cross functional teams to strengthen the IT internal controls environment by articulating control implementation and impact and establishing considerations for applying controls and compliance concepts to system and control owners.

  • Create or update policies, standards, and procedures as required.

  • Develop process or data flow charts as required.

  • Direct experience with SOX readiness, SOX controls walkthroughs and testing preferred.

  • Direct experience with COBIT, NIST, COSO, GxP preferred.

  • Direct experience with ERP systems SAP, Infor LN, JDE and other financial systems preferred.

The Individual

  • 5+ years of experience in IT audit or IT Controls compliance with a minimum of 3+ years of public accounting experience in SOX, SOC 1, and/or general IT Audit.

  • Maintain a professional certification such as the CISA, CISSP, CPA, or equivalent.

  • Must be familiar with Information general controls principles, knowledge of IT processes, e.g., Change Management, Manage Access, Systems Development Life Cycle, System Security, IT Service Management, Backups/Restores, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery.

  • Experience with designing and implementing internal controls: IT General Controls, Application Controls, Automated Controls (and interfaces), and Key Report Controls.

  • Experience with developing process and data flow charts.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and develop strong, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Must be able to think critically, demonstrate sound professional judgment and act with integrity.

  • Detail oriented and capable of adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment, displaying a "roll-up your sleeves" positive attitude.

Salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including: education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, its is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. An salary range for this position is $92,900 to $170,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
