The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Product Portfolio Manager to join our team. This role leads the health of our QuidelOrtho product portfolio - from overall company initiativesto maintenance of a product portfolio and demand planning including commercialization allocation process. Implements support plans for product quality management and communications and liaises closely with regional and global marketing team and sales organization.

This position will be U.S. Remote.

The Responsibilities
  • Lead the product allocation process. Implement support plans for product quality management and communications. Lead monthly demand planning. Liaise closely with regional and global marketing team and sales organization.

  • Product Allocation:

    • Prepare and lead communications to the field and be a central point person for regular updates.

    • Manage process of prioritizing open orders and determine current product availability

    • Coordinate with Project Managers and Sales Leadership as appropriate.

    • Coordinate with Technical Team (ATSs, LSs) to prioritize orders to receive allocations for reagents.

  • Product Quality:

    • Prepare regional communications to the field for status updates.

    • Interact with Global Product Managers to review quality issue and status updates (recall, corrective actions etc.)

    • Conduct technical and commercial field training, if deemed necessary.

    • Participate on sales and customer calls to support the commercial team.

  • Product Demand Planning:

    • Lead the monthly demand plan and liaise with Marketing, Demand, Implementation, and Sales teams.

    • Review with internal stakeholders and act as the regional representative on the monthly demand planning and output.

  • Represents QuidelOrtho at trade shows and professional meetings.

  • Models exemplary company values and complies with QuidelOrtho goals and values.

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude during company functions and public events, encourages team camaraderie and enthusiasm.

  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.

  • Maintains a high degree of personal ethics and professionalism while interacting with customers, distributors, vendors and co-workers.

The IndividualRequired Skills:
  • Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree required, or equivalent experience (5+ years).

BS/BA Degree in Business or Marketing preferred

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in healthcare industry in commercial role, sales, marketing or technical field support roles.

Experience with in vitro diagnostic industry preferred

  • Product marketing experience a plus.

  • Expertise in interpreting and acting on the insights driven from data.

  • Previously held Customer-centric roles and led projects and initiatives.

  • Strategic thinking skills and ability to translate strategies into executable tactical action plans.

  • Ability to deliver results while working in a highly independent and fast-paced team environment.

  • Commercial and Business acumen. Proficient at uncovering key business issues and providing insightful, actionable recommendations for improvement.

  • Manages complex sales cycle internally and externally.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate logical strategies and plans based on analysis.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Solid communication skills - written and verbal.

  • Ability to uphold and support individual and company values.

  • High degree of ethics and professionalism while interacting with customers, vendors, and co- workers.

  • Ability to handle confidential information is required.

  • Ability to work under general supervision following established procedures required.

The Work Environment

Typical work week and hours in a home office based environment. Must have the discipline, organization skills and self-motivation to work autonomously in a home office environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk. Occasionally required to bend, twist, and reach. Must be physically able to travel up to 40%.Must maintain a valid driver's license and must own and maintain an automobile suitable for travel to customer sites, airport, etc. Travel includes airplane, train, automobile, and overnights. On a typical workday, 80% of time meeting with people, 20% of the time on computer, doing paperwork, or on phone. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $83,500 to $97,635 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
