The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst that can be located in Raritan, NJ or remote. The Senior Compensation Analyst will assist in the analysis and administration of the organization's employee compensation and benefits programs. Participates in annual compensation surveys, gathers market data to perform analysis to determine the organization's competitive position, and analyze pay grades and salary ranges according to compensation guidelines. Responsible for supporting the annual performance process, conducting job evaluations and job leveling, benchmark positions, and will assist with the analysis and implementation of other various compensation-related programs, practices, and policies.

The Responsibilities
  • Conduct job evaluation and review of new and/or existing roles. Partner with HR Business Partners and line management to gather information and communicate results.

  • Provide administrative support to the global annual salary planning process, including annual merit increase, bonus & incentive plan processes, and analysis.

  • Participates in market and salary surveys to ensure compensation and benefits programs are benchmarked against best practices, researched against industry and employment trends, and compliant with legislation.

  • Assists with compensation analysis to develop pay grades and evaluate pay competitiveness

  • Contributes to the development and documentation of career paths and alignment of internal jobs.

  • Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR Business Partners to educate Managers.

  • Coordinating the preparation and documentation of position descriptions.

  • Communicating and training internal and external clients on compensation policies and practices

  • Assist HR Operations team with problem resolution, database management, testing system functionality, and programming.

  • Creates ad hoc reports and prepares data for compensation and benefits analysis for all levels of the organization.

  • Audits compensation, retirement plans, and benefits data.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual
  • Bachelor's degree required is required. CCP certification is preferred.

  • Must have a minimum of three to five years of employee benefits &/or compensation administration or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with online salary survey library management tools preferred (e.g. MarketPay).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including high attention to detail.

  • Must be diligent in terms of quality of work product. Advanced Excel skills required. Very good written and verbal skills are necessary to effectively interact with Team members.

  • Must be able to travel 5% to other sites.

Key Working Relationships
  • Internal partners: Work collaboratively with local and regional HR and finance teams.

  • External partners: Engage with external survey and mobility vendors on product offerings, administration & billing.

Colorado State Posting Details: This position's starting salary is between $65,000 and $118,000 per year, and it is bonus eligible. Salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. Ortho offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, paid time off (including paid sick time) and paid holidays.
