Data Center Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Manage day-to-day operational requirements in support of the design and configuration of enterprise-wide technology infrastructure and configuration management functions in a data center environment. Assist with the development and maintenance of system design, layout, and baseline configuration documentation.Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with supporting the configuration of enterprise-wide server-based solutions for multi-platform information systems.
  • Experience with conducting Root Cause analysis for faults in systems in support of trouble shooting efforts.
  • Experience with providing recommendations for system improvements to reduce outages
  • Ability to maintain system documentation of assigned systems
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience with the design and management of data center environments or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience with the design and management of data center environments
  • Ability to obtain IAT Level II Certification within 30 days of hire

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing recommendations for life cycle and modernization efforts
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • MCSE or Role-based Microsoft Certified Expert Certification in a relevant area
  • VMware Data Center Virtualization Certification
  • Cisco Data Center DCCOR or DCID Certification
