We are looking for a Project Manager interested in playing an integral role leading a creative team to help our customers tell a cohesive story. You will work directly on an exciting opportunity in Indian Head, MD. As a Project Manager of a group of creative thinkers and designers, you will solve problems and create new opportunities through graphic design, photography, and video production. A successful candidate will be creative, fast on their feet, and self-driven. Qualified candidates will also have an active secret security clearance and previous experience with project management for the federal government and/or branches of the armed forces.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Description

What You'll Do:

    Ensure customer needs are exceeded from a goal-setting perspective
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate complex textual and/or quantitative information to make comparisons among alternatives or to make recommendations for corrections or improvements in processes, operations, or policies
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and production of all contract activities
  • Interface with client management including the Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)
  • Recruit personnel necessary to perform assigned tasks
  • Establish and alter (as necessary) program organization to provide effective contract support
  • Assign, schedule, and provide quality assurance of project team deliverables
  • Ensure conformance to task specifications and contract provisions
  • Oversee operational performance of accounts, with specific attention towards work product quality, project timeline adherence, and budgets
  • Supervise and mentor creative staff members by managing timelines, providing constructive feedback, and being part of their professional growth
  • Interface with vendors to ensure projects are on time and on budget
  • Actively identify ways to nurture and grow your team and your role
  • Constantly research new industry technology, equipment, and tactics to enhance customer support and product offerings
  • Review final products to ensure adherence to style and security policies and procedures

Qualifications

Who You Are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in management, business, or accounting discipline from an accredited college or university AND ten (10) years professional experience
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) policies and directives
  • Six (6) years of relevant experience in the management and control of budgets, personnel, and material resources
  • Experience with automated systems to include database maintenance and ad hoc reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and prepare documentation and possess the ability to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Experience managing and empowering teams and team members
  • Energetic, passionate, and intellectually curious
  • Background in photography, videography, and graphic design strongly preferred
  • Basic understanding of DoD public affairs elements and regulations
  • A US Government Secret clearance is required
Security Clearance

  • This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
