The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking an IT Meeting & Service Desk Technician. The technician will troubleshoot, repair, and set up moderately complex audiovisual and network printer equipment per applicable documentation. This position supports the Raritan campus location in a timely repair of equipment and devices to ensure meeting room and print device uptime and productivity. Performs root-cause analysis, communicates recommendations, and implements solutions that prevent reoccurrence. Provides enhanced support with third-party vendors. Participates in the add remove of new\existing equipment. Provides input and technical support to new projects. This position is located in Raritan, NJ.

The Responsibilities
  • Support employees by troubleshooting tickets, email and phone requests.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair audio-visual equipment used in meeting rooms.
  • Act as collaboration tool admin (Teams, Webex, Zoom) in requests, training, and support.
  • Develops knowledge base articles for end-user reference.
  • Performs routine and non-routine preventative maintenance in accordance with approved methods and documentation.
  • Maintains print device inventory and manages print server queues include the add/remove of new/decommissioned print devices.
  • Manage, repair, and deploy printers locally and remotely.
  • Documents all work activities via service now ticketing system.
  • Applies safety procedures to all work and uses PPE as required by area.
  • After hours or early reports possible.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting PC, AV and Print Devices; and equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to think and work independently, coordinate with team members, and escalate as required to perform all tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Software application use and installation experience.
  • Experience installing/maintaining/troubleshooting a variety of AV equipment and software platforms.
  • Must have the ability to resolve technical issues under pressure.
  • Experience building, maintaining and fixing Windows 10 systems and PC hardware.
  • Experience managing network print solutions and server queues.
  • Experience managing inventory.
  • Ability to pull data from multiple IT solutions for the purpose of reporting or to highlight issues.

Educational Requirements:

  • Microsoft server experience.
  • Active Directory knowledge.
  • Basic Networking Skills.
  • Aware of Pharma Compliance.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Ticketing system.
  • Knowledge of AV equipment and software platforms.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Ricoh printers and the Ricoh management solution a plus.

Salary Transparency

Salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including: education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. Salary range for this position is $45,000 to $82,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
