Position Description: C & G is searching for a Lead Strategic Planning Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor, review, and assess changes in DOD, DON, and key stakeholder strategic plans to ensure alignment with NAVSEA plans and objectives.
Coordinate with Government leadership in recommending and establishing strategic goals and objectives.
Draft policy and leadership correspondence associated with strategic direction and guidance.
Establish and maintain tools to report performance against strategic plan objectives.
Conduct detailed technical analysis of shipbuilding industrial base issues and provide recommendations on effective performance measures associated with shipbuilding, conversion, and repair activities.
Apply and implement a proven, quantitative approach to analyzing culture and recommend initiatives to establish a more effective and efficient culture; including administering Organizational Culture Inventory (OCI) and Organizational Effectiveness Inventory (OEI) assessments and performing Life Styles Inventory (LSI) assessments.
Coordinate and/or execute training in CPI, Lean/Six Sigma, Total Ownership Cost (TOC), and other process improvement techniques; and establish liaison with business transformation leaders within NAVSEA and DON to stay current in business transformation techniques.
Experience Required:
10 years of experience with DoD acquisition processes, in DoD/Navy program management, Industry or Government technical management, or Industry or Government business management.
5 years supervisory experience
5 years of experience with strategic planning, performance assessments and analysis, culture and climate assessments and analysis, and business transformation efforts
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in a related field or 10 years of experience (specialized knowledge in related field)
