The Opportunity

As we continue to grow, we are hiring a Senior Global Planning Manager who will be responsible for all the tactical planning, network fulfillment, inventory management, and related activities for a single product or product family, regardless of location (End-to-end Value Stream Management). The Senior Global Planning Manager will oversee the coordination of the S&OP process with the Regional SC Leads including forecasting to planning, inventory management to the distribution of products, and any resulting scrap through the Ortho network. This position will lead the S&OP process and set the strategy for global inventory optimization in the context of superior customer service performance. The development, maintenance, and communication of product Value Stream maps for products are under the responsibility of the role holder. General oversight of the supply and demand for all SKUs, parts, and finished goods for products globally. Limit backorders and FG scrap through global inventory optimization. Provide governance to Regional Planning teams for the S&OP process. This position can be based in the following locations: Raritan, NJ, Rochester, NY, Memphis, TN, or San Diego, CA.

The Responsibilities
  • Ownership of global S&OP process

  • Manage forecasting, planning, and inventory control processes globally

  • Optimize global inventory levels to meet customer service, business continuity, and cost objectives throughout the global distribution network linking suppliers, customers, distributors, and warehouses.

  • Coordinates global supply chain product availability, issues, and performance, working with all appropriate functional areas of the company

  • Provide the primary communication point between SCM and other functions for issue resolution for products in the Value Stream

  • Manage all aspects of product status to meet customer order requirements.

  • Track each product through the supply chain process.

  • Monitor capacity planning at warehouses, contract vendors, logistics providers, and internal manufacturing facilities

  • Participates in the development of long-term strategic plans within the Supply Chain, supporting other functions and businesses at large

  • Effectively influence cross-functional senior leaders

  • Develop process maps, and cycle times and assist in cycle time optimization to increase inventory velocity

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual
  • BA/BS degree is required, with a related degree, is preferred.

  • Advanced degree in business or Supply Chain Management preferred.

  • Must have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, and global planning/supply chain field.

  • Must have experience managing people (will have 3 direct reports)

  • Must have experience specific to planning and inventory management

  • Must have extensive functional knowledge of SAP

  • Must be familiar with cGMP and ISO requirements

  • Must be proficient in English.

  • Minimum 10% travel required.
